Making Multiple Babies：Anticipatory Regimes of Assisted Reproduction

由於助孕科技的擴展，人類歷史上，從未如現在，孕產出這麼多的雙胞胎、三胞胎與四胞胎。這帶來什麼樣的挑戰？社會學研究能提出什麼樣的洞察？吳嘉苓教授新出版的英文專書Making Multiple Babies：Anticipatory Regimes of Assisted Reproduction，分析孕育多胞胎的預想體制。這本書探查自1970年代以來，全球與在地如何治理人工協助生殖科技所造成的多胞胎爭議，並對比比利時、日本與台灣的模式。本書並關切婦女的多胞胎孕產經驗，在求孕、減胎與安胎等歷程，如何糾結希望與風險，生命與死亡。

林意唐教授的新書《Statistics and the Language of Global Health: Institutions and Experts in China, Taiwan, and the World, 1917-1960》運用東亞、西歐及北美的歷史檔案，追尋數字成為全球衛生溝通語言的歷史過程。本書以1917年至1960年間的中國和台灣為案例，呈現數字、專家和決策之間的互動，重現公衛學術界、私人基金會、國際衛生組織如何透過各種行動，共同建立了一個國際專家網絡，並探究這些專家如何根據不同的社經與政治脈絡，採取相應策略使用、解讀統計數據，以求在全球標準和在地現實中取得平衡。

愛與褲子：臺韓同運與酷兒史的去殖民思考

2019年臺灣完成同性婚姻合法化的階段性成果，同年也是首爾酷兒遊行舉辦第20屆的里程碑。我則注意到的是另一個時空上的巧合：2019年臺韓亦同時舉辦了以「文獻檔案」為基礎的酷兒主題創作展；這兩個展覽皆與「酷兒／同志檔案資料庫」的建構緊密連結，也呈現對於兩地酷兒／同志史的反思。本演講將從前述的「檔案」計畫開始談起，回溯「愛」的殖民系譜、以及戰後「褲子氏／穿褲的」生命經驗，討論臺韓同志／酷兒史的交織與分斷。我想透過這三個事／物件的討論指出，雖然臺韓的同志／酷兒運動或多或少都以西方／北美人權論述與社運為參照，但兩地的殖民歷史現實、才是真正驅動當代運動論述與策略的能量，更是同運與酷兒史發展的阻礙與限制。因此「去殖民」的可能路徑之一，即是看見酷兒的邊緣性不只與性／別身分有關，而是跟生命形態緊密扣連，也因此必須將經濟階級、甚或地緣政治連結思考，據此揭露各種權力系統結盟運作的方式，並讓多元參照得以實現。
